When Work Affects Yours Mind
I'm a list maker and usually I have a list when I'm at the grocery store but I only needed five things the other morning so I thought I could just remember them all. I found myself rushing around the store reciting the list in my head: ziti, ricotta, mozarella, tylenol, vibrator batteries. After saying this in my head about 10 times it struck me that other people would likely have just thought AAA batteries and that it was a good thing I wasn't muttering the list out loud as I've been known to do :)

If I don't make a list I forget what I need to. YOu'd have gotten a few strange looks if you'd recited that list out loud ;)
We just went shopping at two stores - with a list - and I forgot to buy flour!
Now, vibrator batteries ----hmm, THAT I think I'd remember!
I have developed a habit of remembering the first letter of the word I need. For some reason, that works the best for me (when I don't have an actual written list.)
As to vibrator batteries? Well, I just remember batteries. If I need batteries other than Vibrator batteries, only then do I specify what kind in my head. After all, those are the most important kind, aren't they?
I do the first letter memory trick too. And vibrator batteries are definitely the most important kind. :)
